Mobile Application Development
Our experience in mobile application development is limited, but we have extensive experience in web development using the language that forms the basis of React — JavaScript.
React Expo (expo.dev) is a platform developed and maintained by Meta. The foundation of the platform is the open-source JavaScript library React. The application is written in JavaScript. Expo tools allow compiling JavaScript code into code understandable by iOS and Android. Besides compilation, Expo includes tools for deploying and updating the application on the App Store and Google Play. This is very convenient since Apple and Google stores have many specific features that developers need to consider separately when publishing an app. With Expo, these specifics are minimized.
Another advantage of React is its large community and numerous libraries for various purposes: authentication, dialogs, data and state management systems, libraries for server communication, and much more.
Using React Expo significantly reduces the development cost and, consequently, the cost of the application. The work of a JavaScript developer is much cheaper than that of a Java developer, and there is no need to write code for two platforms. These factors also reduce the cost of testing, supporting, and updating an application.
As a demonstration, you can check out our Forter Driver app on iOS. The Google Play version is temporarily unavailable; we will update it soon and provide access.
